Getting to the Heathlands is easy.

It's located on M-22, one mile south of downtown Onekama,  15 minutes north of historic Manistee.

Traveling from the:

North

Roughly 4 miles south of Bear Lake on US31, there's a sign that says "Onekama", with an arrow to the right.  Take a right here (8 Mile Rd).   You'll see Portage Lake in the distance.  Go until the stop sign, which is the intersection of 8 Mile and M22.  Take a left, past the fairgrounds, and around Portage Lake about a mile there will be a sign for The Heathlands on the left.   Follow this road (Farr Rd) until it ends.       


South

Take US31 North through Manistee.  Once past the airport, on top of the hill, take M22 to the left.  Stay on M22 until you reach Farr Rd (about 5 miles).   You'll see the sign for the Heathlands on your right.  Follow Farr Road until it ends.


East

Follow M55 until it ends, at the intersection of US31.   Take a right.  Go past the airport (about 3 miles) and on top of the hill, take M22 to the left.  Stay on M22 until you reach Farr Rd (about 5 miles).   You'll see the sign for the Heathlands on your right.  Follow Farr Road until it ends.
